lol. Spice 32. **Minimum one drink per person.
We were looking for some REAL spicy food. Not the mild kind. The spice that burnsssss. This showed up on a Google search. It was hard to find. I accidentally sat down in the WRONG restaurant before I found it. When we found out they didn't have any spicy curry, we left oops. You have to go down stairs to B1F, so you won't see it at ground/street level.
There was no one in the restaurant when we walked in. Tbh I felt like it was going to be a dud, but we decided to stay anyway. There are only ~8 seats across the bar. Don't come here with a large party expecting to sit around a table. We placed our orders, and the owner dude started working on the food. I thought I heard a microwave bell..
My eating partner had the #1, which is 5 out of 5 levels of spicy. He added extra meat (see photo). I ordered #4, which was half spicy and half not, but was more expensive! It looked prettier though. The spicy was SPICY. I was panting and lips were on fire. Our total dinner cost ¥4800. I'm not sure if they accepted credit card, but I paid in cash.
The owner guy is quite a show. Actually, he put on a show after we finished eating. I won't spill his secrets, but I still can't believe what I saw!!! It still...

It's a quieter, calmer setting away from the crowded tourist bustle just a street or two away. We were taken care of by the owners, who were so sweet and attentive. The walls are lined with photos of the owners and various celebrity patrons, and it's clear that they love what they do. They told us they've been around for about 8 years. We ordered the half and half with hamburg, half and half with tonkotsu (pork cutlet), and the gion curry with ebi (fried shrimp). Speaking from a Southeast Asian perspective, the spicy curry is EXTREMELY spicy, so tread carefully. Each dish came with shibazuke (purple pickled cucumbers) and beef chunks.
Make sure to let them know you found them via Google Maps and they'll take you through a delightful magic show. Without spoiling the fun, I'll just share that Uncle is brilliant with the...
Read moreSpice32 is a small curry shop in the basement of a building. As you enter, you can see many pictures of the owner and previous guests, taken in selfie form. The restaurant is one long table, with about 8 seats total. The owner speaks limited English, but regardless was extremely welcoming and friendly. The curry was great. He warned us of the spicy curry I ordered, saying it may be too spicy, but it had the perfect level of heat for me. Spice32 specializes in a more spicy favor curry and a fruity flavor curry. You can have different kinds of meats whether it be beef, sausage, fried shrimp, etc.
During the dinner, the owner asked if he could perform some magic for us, to which we were all surprised at how talented he was! Dinner AND a show! At the end, we enjoyed the restaurant so much he asked to take a selfie with us. Maybe we'll make it...
