Thank you for having vegan! It's delicious even if there is only one on the menu. Excellent service too, staff is very accommodating and friendly. They even taught us how to say 'oishi' through chopsticks. My sister and boyfriend who are not vegan enjoyed the non-vegan menu, as well. They told me I did a good job finding a restaurant where we all could eat.
We had to wait for 30 minutes to get a table but it was worth it and our orders were served as soon as we were seated. Good location too, right outside the Kinkaku-ji temple and near the bus stop.
We went to Kyoto 3 times, and we went here twice. On our 2nd visit in Kyoto, we traveled for 45 minutes just to eat here again because we really liked the food...

Read moreThe place has the vibe of a tourist-oriented eating place. We ordered the "original plate", which was good, a vegan dish which was OK, and 3 steak dishes - all 3 were not very good and we actually left most of them untouched.
It does give an option to eat near the Golden Shrine. We will not return, unfortunately.
