On a quick one-day stop in Matsumoto we knew we'd have to come by here. Staying at the Matsumoto Hotel Kagetsu, it was a short 10/15 minute walk to get here, it was a very cute shopping street with maybe 20 stores and 10 places to grab a bite to eat. We stopped at the Storytime Cafe (separate review left) for lunch and then strolled through here to shop and take in the sites. Being situated next to a running canal and not busy at all for a Sunday afternoon really added to the atmosphere, if you find yourself in Matsumoto this is a must visit. We were lucky on this particular Sunday to happen by a small "flea market" type area where some food stalls were setup and handicrafts on sale (we purchased an oversized cotton candy for only 600Y and a handmade "cat spoon" for 1,000Y), additionally a Japanese man had his bunnies out and about down by the canal and we were able to pet and feed them, which was super cool!
