This is my favorite coffee shop in Matsumoto. The coffee is delicious, rich, and strong. I usually get the toast set which is a cup of coffee and a nice thick piece of toast saturated with butter and I add honey for an extra ¥100. They serve a curry dish at lunch and that is pretty delicious too. They also have a really delicious homemade ginger milk tea! The atmosphere is also really great. The building is really cool. They have an old letterpress downstairs and upstairs there’s a cozy book/zine store with a selection of ancient chairs...

This is one of my favourite coffee shops in Japan, it has a dark roast which is actually very uncommon for Japan! Also, it’s just a beautiful experience. The cafe itself is (I think) an old printing press building. There are lots of remnants from this!
They also have a great collection of artists/photographers books that you can browse at your leisure! If you’re in Matsumoto and you have a bit of free time to sit back and relax come for a coffee!
