Famed for their grilled Shime Saba (Cured Mackerel) and truly it did not disappoint. Eat it while it’s hot after the 🔥 grilling.

Chicken 🐔 Nanban was great. If you are a garlic and spring onion lover, you definitely should order it!

Personally I’m a sucker for grilled 🍙 and love it when they make it fresh in front of you (take the counter seat for a 👀 🔥 experience)

Tamago 🥚 roll was forgotten but they quickly made it upon clarification, not too sweet and just right for me.

Grilled 🥩 beef was great as well, wouldn’t miss it if I need protein

Lively atmosphere is definitely a plus, makes you feel happier during dinner. In general, I will recommend to visit this restaurant! We made prior reservation and I strongly recommend this because I saw a group of girls having to wait for their table...

素晴らしい経験をありがとう！鮭完璧でした。 The salmon belly tasted heavenly. Chicken nanban and butter scallops also changed my life. The tako wasabi was also delicious - everything was incredible, drinks too!

Most importantly, the service was fantastic. Staff were warm, patient and welcoming even though I was a tourist with no English menu. If you have Google Translate (app) on your phone, hit the camera button, the translations are 90% accurate at reading the whole menu (some even had pictures of the dishes).

Good sized space as well, maybe 16 - 18 seats by the counter, at least 6 large tables for bigger groups. Felt like I got to experience a truly authentic izakaya - a heartfelt thank you! Can't wait...

The best izakaya in Matsuyama (probably) with the best atmosphere and taste. The staff was also very friendly.

Grilled shimesaba and shrimp mayo are a must-try, and the butter-scallop was a bit salty. Also, the highball was very tasty. I highly recommend the Matsuyama specialty Mikan-highball!

However, the disappointing thing is that if you order the nomihodai (2-hour unlimited drink)menu, the speed at which they bring you the alcohol seems to be controlled, and the actual time you can order is not 2 hours, but 90 minutes. It is still cheaper than ordering alcohol separately, but don't...
