HAPPA STAND MINO — Restaurant in Mino

This place is a good choice if you don’t want to get a big lunch so you have more stomach space for other food on the street. The building is nice (though the flags out the front are quite broken), not many seats inside though. The omusubi (like hand made onigiri) was so-so, but it’s nice they give you so much tea, the tea was pretty good. It’s nice they’re trying to show the value in tea. The staff were quite cold, very different to the standards of where I live in Japan. She didn’t make eye contact and was on the cold side of polite, not sure if them being cold is something they want to match the...

Went here after walking through most of Mino and it was such a great spot to reset and relax. The interior design was amazing and very tasteful. They had seating at the counter and seating at a separate communal table area.

They have wonderful tea with a number of different small bites from omusubi to sweet confections.

The tea was absolutely perfectly brewed and refreshing. They have lots of small gifts from stickers, to branded cups and some shirts and sweatshirts.

A great cafe that specializes in Japanese tea. Not only their drinks were tasty, the atmosphere that the place had was really nice. The inside was totally different from what I had expected from the outside. It had the fusion of traditional Japanese and Western aesthetics.

I tried their green tea latte and it was very good. My partner ordered the Hojicha ("roasted tea") latte and it was as good as the green tea latte too.

Definitely a great stop for nice latte and a place to cool...
