和紙問屋の旧住居。 江戸時代中期に建てられた、美濃市内最大規模の商家。 美濃市指定文化財。

外観は華美でないが、最も古いうだつ軒飾りの形式で、歴史的にも価値が高い。

家屋は天井、障子紙、柱等の木材、襖、欄干等、細部にわたり意匠がこらされ、今は入手できない贅沢な物事も数多。

庭もすばらしく、眺めはもちろん、百景に選ばれた「水琴窟」の音色も楽しめる。
