Mikamo — Restaurant in Miyazu

Awesome small restaurant run by an old couple. For dinner they only accept guests with reservation, but they were kind enough to make an exception for us. The next day was sunny, and it had a long line for lunch, so maybe reservation for lunch is also recommended. The food was really fresh and very tasty. I can really recommend the sake tasting set, where you get 3 small cups of different sake. If you're unsure, just go with their recommendation. We got 3 sweet and 3 dry sake, and they were all different. L-O-V-E ! I absolutely cannot reconcile some of these reviews/ratings with my experience. Maybe folks are using a Michelin Star system or something?? I don't know. For my money and what I want out of a tourist-beach-town experience, I'll come here every time. Chill out, grill some INSANELY fresh seafood, have a good time.
