A gem. Great location, usually good price. I had a room without a toilet but that was not an issue. Guests can use the onsen in the nearby hotel which is awesome. I wish the staff told me that when I left my luggage there, I almost went to that onsen and paid for a day entrance.

Room: small but new and with everything you need. The shared toilet was not an issue for a short stay. There is a sink in the room to wash your hands and brush your teeth.

Hotel: location is superb, right next to the station, close to ama no hashidate, right next to the water. It's really good! There is a free washing machine as well. There is no elevator so some may find it a bit inconvenient but I was on the second floor and it was not an issue.

Restaurant: The hotel has a western restaurant with spectacular views which is open for lunch and dinner (I think they close around 8:30). There is a breakfast option at the hotel next door. For dinner I decided to walk to the other side (it is a bit of a walk, but it's a nice walk throughs amanohashidate) where there is one local Izakaya - nice and cosy.

Onsen/sauna: technically in the hotel next door, spectacular views, really nice onsen and sauna. It's nice to be able to use it while staying at the cheaper option. The hotel next door also has vending machines (including alcohol) and a gift shop.

Staff: very helpful and...

The location of this hotel is fantastic, and it's very clean, which made for a comfortable stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, even though there were significant communication issues as they didn't speak English. It was nice to have amenities like a washing machine, ice dispenser, and microwave available for use.

However, a major downside was the onsen situation. It wasn't in the same building, so we had to walk outside in our swimwear to another building, which was quite inconvenient. The onsen itself was nothing special, unfortunately.

The worst part was the room doors. They were a complete design flaw. You could hear every door slam, which echoed throughout the hotel. This noise continued until midnight and started again at 6 AM, making it impossible to sleep without earplugs. In my opinion, the price does not match the value at all. You can find much better accommodations for the same amount of...

The position of the hotel is very good, 2 minutes from the train station and 5 minutes from the beach.||Breakfast is in the nearby "Amanohashidate hotel", and is not too bad. The room is very small, but that's OK if you don't plan to spend too much time in it.||The bathroom was very small and unpractical, with the shower just above the sink: if you take a shower, the floor will be wet for the next 24 hours and it will be difficult to brush your teeth! The air conditioning is just above the bed and it's very noisy, even in quiet mode. In addition to the fridge and the bathroom aeration, it was a real concert during the night. Besides, the hotel was half empty on a week day, and still you could hear doors banging and loud noises from the other rooms until very late.||The dinner included with the room looked nice, but it was...

An absolutely wonderful place to stay in Amanohashidate! The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. There is a restaurant onsite that I would recommend reserving for a meal, as many of the local restaurants will be closed for the evening (don't make the same mistake I made). The room and place were kept very clean. They provided a yukata and essentials for visiting the public baths available in the next door hotel. A well stocked and healthy breakfast buffet was also available from the next door hotel. If you want everything within one building, this is not the place for you, but I very much enjoyed the fresh air after my bathing and breakfasts!!

Overall decent but quite pricey for the price paid. There is no lift and unless you pay for an upgrade, toilets are shared. Even then, the sink was awfully low and blocked by the soap holder. Onsen is at the hotel beside this one rather than in it. Washers and dryers are free of charge but highly utilised
