This cafe is located along the approach to Chion-ji Temple. Order drinks and dishes at the order counter and pay in advance. The finished dishes and drinks are brought to your seat, but you must return the tray and tableware to the return counter after eating. Drinks served include coffee, tea, alcohol, and drinks unique to the Amanohashidate area, but only hamburgers are available, including the "Sardine Burger", a Miyazu burger with patty of sardine marinated in olive oil. The cafe is spacious and has ample seating. It's a very open space, and the wall facing the ocean is almost entirely made of glass, allowing in plenty of light from outside and creating the atmosphere of an open terrace (of course, this cafe can be used regardless of the weather). The interior is divided into two spaces by partitions (and steps), and the space without an order counter is not available during normal hours (it may be opened only during events, since musical instruments are placed there). The quality of the dishes and drinks served are all good, but the burgers seem a bit small for the price. The "Sardine Burger" has a rather idiosyncratic flavor, which may not be to everyone's liking. In addition to drinks and dishes, the restaurant also sells keychains and...
Read more5 stars!! A perfect place to have a quick lunch if you’re on a bus tour to the area. Great food, had the wagyu beef cutlet, vegetarian Japanese egg omelette sandwich, and homemade colas (1200 yen each- lunch special), along with the local homemade peach ice cream for dessert. Delicious!! Super-sweet English-speaking staff person/manager (?) who helped us. Beautiful inside seating views of the water, air-conditioned and right next to the bridge. So handy to the temple and the parking lot where the bus parks....
Read moreWouldn’t bother. There is no service. No welcome unlike most cafes that say welcome. No menus on table or fresh towels offered or water - staff barked at us upon entering to order here only.. and now with the menu only there at the cashier… not on the table. It’s all self service and staff were not warm. Food was deep fried hamburger or chicken .. pre packaged and not good. View however was stunning . I’d eat elsewhere as the vibe was rude and harsh. Feels like they are...
