We had a wonderful time riding the Amanohashidate chairlift — a relaxing and memorable experience, especially after 3 PM when the crowds had thinned out.

Parking was simple and convenient, with a flat rate of ¥700 per entry. From the lot, it’s just a short walk to the chairlift station.

Tickets were reasonably priced at ¥1000 for a round trip of chairlift. The staff were helpful with the elderly, and the process was smooth and efficient.

The chairlift ride itself was gentle and enjoyable, offering beautiful panoramic views of the sandbar and surrounding landscape. It was a peaceful way to ascend, with a nice breeze and the sound of nature all around. Definitely more scenic and open-air compared to the cable car alternative.

At the top, we were rewarded with stunning views of Amanohashidate, one of Japan’s famous “Three Scenic Views.” It’s a great spot to take photos and enjoy some quiet time with family.

Highly recommend this experience for anyone visiting the area — especially if you enjoy laid-back sightseeing and scenic beauty. Going later in the day makes it even more pleasant...

The Amanohashidate Chairlift is a fantastic way to experience the breathtaking views of Amanohashidate. As a parent, I was thrilled to see my 9-year-old twin daughters have so much fun on the ride. The gentle ascent offers stunning panoramas of the sandbar, pine trees, and ocean. My daughters loved the thrill of being suspended in the air and pointing out all the interesting sights below. The ride was also very comfortable and relaxing, making it a great experience for all ages. If you're visiting Amanohashidate, I highly recommend taking...

A great spot to see Amanohashidate and the Miyazu Bay Area. Highly recommend doing this at least once when you visit. The views are incredible and there are some fun activities if you have kids- Ferris wheel, bumper cars, go carts, archery, etc. I found the best view is from the walk way immediately after the lift. We used coupons from our hotel, which saved us ¥100. You can also get these coupons if you make a purchase at any local store. The line moves pretty quickly, so don’t let a long line prevent you from seeing the...
