名古屋市中区栄にあるバーボンバーです。シングルモルトやジャパニーズ ウイスキーが主流の中、こだわりのバーボンを提供してくれるバーがあるのは、バーボン好きとしてはたまらなく嬉しい限りです。 元々は初代のマスターがお店を切り盛りされていましたが、現在は御子息の方とお二人でお店に立っていらっしゃるようです。飛び込みにも関わらずお二人とも気さくに対応してくださり、感謝です。 本題のバーボンに入る前に、サイドディッシュとして出していただいた生ハム（通常のモモ肉ではなく、肩肉を使用したもののようです）とシャインマスカットが単体でも非常に美味しかったですし、口直しとしても最高でした。 バーボンの種類はざっと見ただけでもゆうに100種類は超えていました。マスター曰く時代物を中心に取り揃えていらっしゃるようですが、他のバーでも見るような最近のバーボンもいくつかは置いているようでした。 普段はバッファロートレース蒸留所のバーボンをいただくことが多いのですが、せっかくの機会なので珍しいものをということで、最初は Devils River というテキサスの新興系蒸溜所が出しているバーボンをソーダ割りでいただきました。後味が通常のバーボンと異なり、初めて飲む味でした。 次は Heaven Hill というケンタッキー バーボンをロックでいただきました。こちらは期待どおりのバーボンの華やかな後味がして、私は個人的にはこちらのほうが好みでした。 そしてしめにはバッファロートレース蒸留所に戻って W.L. Weller と Old Weller (こちらはストレートで) の二種類をいただきました。いずれも深みの中に芳醇な香りが残る伝統的なバーボンで、大満足の味わいでした。 ぜひまた名古屋を訪れは際は足を運びたいと思います。

This is a bourbon bar located in Sakae, Nagoya. As a bourbon lover, I'm incredibly happy to find a bar that offers a selection of bourbons, especially since most bars mainly feature single malt and Japanese whisky.

The bar was originally founded by the first-generation master, and now he seems to be tending the bar together with his son. I'm grateful for their friendly service, even though it was my first time visiting the place.

Before getting to the main attraction – the bourbon – I have to mention the delicious side dishes they served: prosciutto (apparently made from shoulder, not the usual thigh meat) and Shine Muscat grapes. They were incredibly tasty on their own and perfect side dishes for the bourbon..

A quick glance at the bourbon selection revealed well over 100 bottles. The master said they mainly focus on vintage bourbons, but they also stock some newer ones commonly found in other bars.

I usually drink bourbon from the Buffalo Trace Distillery, but since they offered so many other options, I decided to try something unusual. First, I had a Devils River bourbon with soda. This bourbon is from a newly established distillery in Texas, and its aftertaste was unlike any bourbon I've had before.

Next, I had a Heaven Hill Kentucky bourbon on the rocks. This one had the classic bourbon aftertaste I expected, and I personally preferred it.

Finally, I returned to the Buffalo Trace Distillery and had two bourbons: W.L. Weller and Old Weller (straight). Both were traditional bourbons with a deep, mellow aroma, leaving me completely satisfied.

I definitely want to visit this bar again the next time...

나고야 유일의 최고 버번 정통바입니다.

1980년부터 운영하셨으니, 거진 45년 반 세기가 되어가는 엄청난 공력을 자랑하고 있구요.

역사가 있는 버번들을 너무나도 좋은 가격에 마셨고, 맛도 정말 훌륭했습니다.

마스터 두 분이서 조용조용하지만 진중하게 접객해주신 것도 좋았네요.
