My wife and I was looking for エビフライ(fried shrimp) sandwich, other than Komeda, which we tried yesterday morning. Daphne is a great alternative that we discovered. Its fried shrimp sandwich is better than Komeda in my opinion. Their toast with butter and red bean paste is also great, which is free with ordering of a coffee. This restaurant is in the Esca underground shopping centre of the Nagoya...

Quick and simple breakfast - a beverage with toast - ideal after a big dinner from the previous evening.

The toast was thick and fluffy while the assorted sandwiches were tasty. The coffee (we ordered the regular blend and the sumiyaki coffee) lacked complexity and flavour, not terrible but a little bit disappointing.

名古屋といえば喫茶店！と言うことでローカルチェーンの「ダフネ珈琲館 エスカ店」でひと休憩。 軽く小腹が空いたので、卵焼きサンドを食べてみました。 タマゴサンドじゃなくて卵焼きサンドなんですね。 名古屋はこちらがスタンダード？ これ、美味すぎました！ 甘めの味付けだった気がします…違うかな… 記憶が曖昧だけど美味かったのは確か！ コーヒーももちろん問題無し。 次の名古屋駅での小休止もダフネで決まりです！
