One of the best spots to eat in Nagoya!
My partner had the enormous order of the Shachihokodon set (miso katsu and ebi furai) and I had their Tonton Mabushi with manza buns.
With the tonton mabushi, there is a specific order of eating it which you can watch videos of online. It also applies to Hitsumabushi, another signature Nagoya dish if you haven't tried it yet. Needless to say, I highly suggest you follow the instructions for the maximum mabushi experience!
The abundant meat served is thin and a little sweet, almost bacon-y like. The bowl has it entirely covering the rice underneath it, making an crust-like top that you slice through with the rice paddle to make your portions. The place itself isn't hard to get to, google points you directly to it and you're greeted with the old-style restaurants that feel so homey.
I had the Shachihokodon set (miso katsu and ebi furai) then added the mini manza to complete the set.

Vegetarian and vegan options are available on the macrobiotic menu (look for マクロビオティック). I had the macro tantan and macro karaage "chicken" (it's soy). Karaage was a bit like chewy/fatty fried chicken, so if you're not into that be forewarned. The spice with it was delicious, though. Tantan was fantastic. The staff were quite kind and even asked if eggs were OK in...
