How does one succinctly talk about a near-perfect experience?
Littletree is a cafe located about 10 minutes from Kamejima Station and right next to Noritake Aeon. The outside is an unassuming little building nestled between a few residential buildings. Besides the sign, there are some gorgeous outdoor plants that guide you inside.
When you step foot into the cafe, you are greeted by a huge wall of books, lush house plants, mellifluous jazz music spinning on a record player, gorgeous high ceilings, and the divine smell of fresh coffee brewing.
The menu is a huge fixture on the wall above the kitchen area. There are multiple kinds of single origin coffee and a plethora of sweets to choose from, ensuring that you have many combinations to try on repeat visits.
The quality of the coffee is excellent. On this visit, I went with the Uganda blend. It was a sweeter taste and well blended. I also got a chocolate brownie to pair with the Uganda blend per the host's recommendation. The brownie was next level delicious. It was moist and lightly salted to balance out the sweetness. The pairing with the coffee was perfect in every sense of the meaning.
The cafe has a quieter atmosphere despite the jazz music playing. Of course, people can go to the cafe to have a quiet conversation, but it is also a great place to bring a book and have a read with a delicious cup of coffee. There are also a bunch of cool little knickknacks that you will notice on repeat visits. Even the cups and plates the food and drinks are served in are gorgeous!
The host was not only extremely kind, but knowledgeable. I can't say enough good things about her.
The seating and hours are limited, and there are no outlets or free WiFi, so take those into account. However, I think that it's intentional. People are meant to relax, have some respite, and then move forward with their day.
Last point I'll mention is if you're lucky, you'll go on a day where the host brings their cat in to lounge and hang out. For those with pet allergies, that may be off-putting, but for other customers looking to pet a fluffy cat, hope that it's your lucky day!
Go to this cafe and have a fantastic experience. Please take note to be quiet and respectful to the other...
