Five stars for everything but a 4-star review total because some customers may find it expensive. We were a party of three and were drawn in after seeing a stand of their menu out on the main street. They were closed Dec 31 / Jan 1 so we finally tried on Jan 3.
The place has a cute / clean ambience. The hostess and the chef (perhaps a couple) were very nice and accommodating. My initial reaction on tasting the pasta was that it was different. Tasted like it was freshly made, a bit chewy, but very good. The sauce was also excellent- I got the Ishigaki Beef Bolognese. Other two dishes were excellent as well- a crème based Gorgonzola and an Arrabiata. The portions aren’t very large, would call it pretty small.
The menu suggests that you order a drink with your meal. We obliged. Two Orion beers and one Spicy Ginger Ale. The ginger ale was unique, nice. They also charge a seating fee, a service charge of ¥400 per person. I guess you could look at that as a tip.
So for a bowl of pasta and a beer we spent ¥10,000 total. Not the cheapest meal but food was very good. Glad to have contributed to the...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. They charge a service fee of 350 yen per person, which was not clearly justified. On top of that, they force you to order one drink per person, even if you don’t want one, and the drinks are quite expensive. Finally, they add tax on every dish, the prices on their digital menu shows only pre-tax prices, at that's not specified, which feels very unfair and misleading.
In the end, the bill was much higher than expected — a clear overcharge compared to what was advertised. The food itself is fine, but all these dishonest pricing practices completely ruin the experience, as you end up feeling cheated.
My suggestion to the restaurant is simple: just set fair, transparent prices including taxes for each dish and stop using all these confusing and deceptive fees, taxes and forced orders. It would make the dining experience much better and more honest...
Read moreI also stopped by after seeing the menu stand on the street and it was so worth it. I had the chicken truffle mushroom cream pasta which was such a light creamy sauce in the best way. I was also given fish carpaccio before the pasta and when I looked confused the waitress explained it’s okinawan fish. It smelled so good that I felt brave enough to eat raw fish for the first time and it was unbelievably delicious and not at all “fishy”. I wish I could recreate the marinade for the fish because wow I never thought I would like raw...
