The female staff who welcomed me and waited on my table was very nice. I felt sorry for her because she was the only server. I’d give her 5 stars. There’s a ¥400 mandatory appetizer. They serve it to you whether you like it or not, and they add ¥400 to your bill. It’s a Japanese thing, I think, and I don’t mind. It was actually delicious and there’s no tipping culture so it’s all good. As for the food, I always try a Thai place whenever I’m out of town for work. I love Thai food. Maybe I’ve tried a lot of Thai places so I find the food here just okay, not amazing. I appreciate the generous portion and they didn’t skimp on ingredients. I’m quite surprised by the high reviews, to be honest. It took 30minutes for my Pad Thai to come out. I was really worried because I have an online meeting after. It’s like they never discovered that Thai food is supposed to be spicy. Like no spice. Zero. Pad Thai was made with what appeared to be ramen noodles. They most certainly were not pad Thai noodles. It was like yakisoba. Mediocre yakisoba at that. The papaya salad was such a non-entity. Avoid that one as well. That had one curry on the menu and was so happy I missed that train wreck after having the service curry dummy you get with your cover charge.
