Firepit — Restaurant in Niigata

What a nice find! We were supposed to have ramen but the queue was super long on a Friday evening then we chance upon Firepit, we went in and was told it’s fully booked… then thinking where else to eat, went back in and check if we could wait for a table, then they say wait for 5 mins we clear a table for you!

We were not that hungry so we ordered 2 starters and a main to share; the first dish we had was the wagyu carpaccio, it was so good! Then came the squids and the grilled Angus beef skirts, the meat was so juicy. Feeling hungry now 😬 so we order their recommended pasta - amatriciana - a spicy tomato base pasta, it’s like a handmade noodle, the texture of the noodles and the sauce was so delicious. Amazing. Would highly recommend FIREPIT to the foodie/gourmand at heart. Excellent ambiance, top quality ingredients, artistic food presentation, very helpful staff. Will need going back. The fresh fish (sea bream) was an excellent mix of fresh ingredients-- it's what's pictured as part of this review. Again, amazing restaurant-- the personable yet exacting chef, and welcoming restaurant staff makes this a culinary 'must return' experience....

We had no idea what we walked into as we were just looking for a dinner spot. We were so happy with the amazing quality of beef and overall food. We started with the appetizer 4 different house options. Pork dish and lamb shoulder. Grilled Tomato Barada and the beef stew with tomato and dang we blown away.
