Around 13:30 on a rainy day we were in Nikko not far away from Toshogu shrine and found this super cozy and friendly place. We immediately got a heater so our gear could dry and we would be warm. The place is ran by an elderly couple who know some english words and let you try some Japanese if you want. They were very patient and understanding with us. The food was amazing! We ordered the best katsu curry I ever tasted and for the first time I tried omurice, and I loved it! We saw from the reviews that the chocolate cake was loved by others and they were right! We only stop by for a small sweet treat but we loved the place and the owners.
We ordered banana cake, iced black coffee and matcha soja milk. It all sounds fancy but everything was made from scratch by them.
Don’t expect anything fancy or touristic but in return you’ll get amazing quality for incredible prices.
