The food was decent but overpriced and it can be a long wait to be seated. The worst part was that they charged us more than the prices listed in the menu and gave us a hard time when we tried to dispute it.. It seemed like they charged us more because we aren’t Japanese (and it was significantly more than just adding a service charge—that part we were happy to pay). The host had been speaking English to my friend up until we tried to understand where all the other extra charges/increased prices were coming from, then he suddenly acted like he couldn’t understand anything we were saying. I also speak moderate Japanese but he still acted like he had no idea what I was saying only when it came to this issue. This experience was really disappointing because we were very excited to try the omelet rice and the aesthetic was cute. Overall not a very...

Had an excellent meal here! I came here twice because i loved it so much. The first time we arrived at 11.30 AM and had to wait for around 30 minutes, the second visit we arrived at around 5PM and there was no queue.

The Tochigi Beef Sirloin is probably one of the best beef steak i've had, the tenderloin was nice but i still prefer the sirloin.

Hayashi Rice and Omurice has a unique curry sauce that taste like a blend of western and japanese curry, kinda taste like indonesian stew honestly.

The cheesecake with sorbet was a nice finish to the course.

Great service, they explain the dishes if you order the course menu.

Lovely place with a long history, especially romantic to dine with...

Japanese "yoshoku" (Western inspired cuisine) restaurant in a historical building. Went for lunch a bit past noon as a group of 2 but there was already a queue of about 10 groups. Took a queuing ticket and waited roughly 30min to be brought in. The large queueing number screen at the front of the historical building is a bit of a mood killer 😅 However, the interior gravitas is immense and it was exciting being able to dine in such a establishment. Went for the hamburg steak dish which was served with a very rich demi-glace sauce with a side of mashed potatoes mixed with bacon, veggies, and beans. The famous "nirvana" cheesecake we had for dessert was also delicious and...

We had the Tochigi serloin stake and hamburg stake. Although the price of serloin stake was on the high side but it is to be expected from Tochigi beef and the quality diffinately make it worth and the sauce!! just simply delicious. It did not over power the taste of the beef and really do complimented it. Can't really fault the vegees either. The hamburg stake is real value here and its a must try. The service was great. Staffs were attentive but give you space to eat or breath. Overall highly recommend. You can check out their menu and price on their site. English is available.
