I found the place by accident on my way to Korakuen. It looks very antic in both interior and exterior. Theyve got pretty good selection of menu. I tried their coconut smoothie and Chiffon Cake, which was good. I saw their lunch menu and made me feel like I should have eatern here. Lovely cafe beside the river in Okayama, looking at the main gate of Koraku-en. We were delighted to find this open until 2:30 for a lunch of pad gapao and beef tendon omurice. Both dishes excellent home style cooking, made super fresh. Probably the best omurice I’ve ever had!

Then followed by two delicious desserts particularly the earl grey white chocolate gateau.

This is a special place and a renovated traditional Japanese house Café! We have been wanting to visit here for a long time. That did not disappoint me. There is seating on the first floor as well as on the second floor. Book Room is worthy of particular note. This room with bookshelves prohibits talking. We’re supposed to enjoy quiet time. The view of the river from the window is spectacular. All our dishes were delicious. Prices were just right, and portions were very good. The staff was awesome and attentive....
