A small, friendly cafe and gallery. There is a monthly rotation of prints, pottery, photos, and hangings as the gallery part. The New Year's wreaths are highly sought after and only available for a short time in December. In terms of the cafe, the beans are roasted on the premises by the master, Mr Kawamoto. Each beverage is prepared from the order with the beans ground and the hot water poured. There are other varieties of coffee such as Turkish coffee and an ice-brewed coffee using a Dutch drip system. The ice coffee takes 15 hours to finish one batch. There is no espresso system so if a customer wants a Starbucks experience, they should go elsewhere. i have been here twice for events and had amazing experiences both times. one event was a bbq party in 2016 and i met lots of interesting people. the second event was more spontaneous but i ended up having a very interesting conversation in Japanese regarding eastern europeam religous inconography. there are regular art exhibitions and occasional performances. if you want to go to a authentic modern japanese coffee shop. this is the place. not much...
