I think I was the first customer of the shift around 17:30 because there was no one else there except for one staff member at the front. She was nice to get me English menus, so I didn't have to mess around with Google Lens to translate the menu. There are many different burgers to choose from, even some vegetarian-friendly options.
You place your order at the counter, get given a buzzer and wait until you can go pick up your food. While I waited for my food, I took a seat in their bare-bones industrial looking establishment. It definitely could use some more decorations in my opinion, as it feels kind of empty and soulless. They do have free wifi which is nice.
As I waited, more staff started rolling in. One of them had a really nasty cough, and I was hoping they wouldn't go anywhere near any food items. But in reality, they just shouldn't be there in general. It was very off-putting and worrisome to hear that coughing multiple times in a food establishment.
When I got my food, I was impressed at how good the burger looked. But that happiness soon faded when I came to the realization that there wasn't a single fry (or potato wedge, since that seems to be what they serve) on my plate. Apparently, fries are a separate order. I don't think I've ever ordered a burger in a restaurant and not have had some fries with it. I wouldn't have minded paying for them, but it's the fact that you sort of expect them to be there and the staff not even pointing it out or asking if you want fries when you place your order.
So, in conclusion.. I think I'd try another place in the future when I'm craving a burger because neither the service nor the price/quality were appealing enough for me to consider coming back. Definitely room for...
Read moreReviewing a restaurant poorly even though the food was good might be harsh, but the service in this place is so insanely terrible and unprofessional that it doesn’t warrant anything else. the burger, a veggie burger, was nice and so were the fries, but the staff are the most unprofessional and rude people I’ve ever met in Japan. Completely ignored my existence (standing in front of them at the counter) until their manager came out and took my order. They later took other orders from guests so they were perfectly capable to do that. When my food was ready, they didn’t activate the buzzer and just let it sit there waiting to get cold, until I came up 5 minutes later at which point they started giggling and took the still not activated order buzzer. no apology, it feels like it was done completely on purpose. Never again. if I was the management, I’d fire them...
Read moreReally good food at reasonable prices. The burgers were excellent, and the fried potatoes were thick-cut with just the right amount of salt. North Americans will be happy to know that you can get ketchup to go on your fries—rare in Japan.
The shop is big and very clean; we were the only ones there on an early Friday night. The 2nd floor has a sports bar vibe and would be good for big groups, families, parties or events.
I had the Hare Bare Mushroom Cheeseburger and my partner had the Double Patty Classic Burger; we both had large fries & the drink bar.
We agreed that we’ll definitely be going...
