I’ve been craving for pancakes for a while and wanted to experience a new restaurant besides Kona Coffee. Hubby and I found this place on google maps and the reviews seemed to be great. So we decided to give this restaurant a try for ourselves. When arriving we noticed it wasn’t much parking but we weren’t about to allow that to ruin our morning. We quickly found parking and proceeded into the restaurant. Even though the restaurant is small, it is very cozy, well kept up and the staff are very polite, friendly and helpful. One of the servers greeted us and gave us a menu letting us know when ready to place, our order on the kiosk. Very easy and self explanatory. They take yen or card so no worries. There were so many different options that we were undecided because we somewhat wanted to try almost everything lol. My hubby decided to get the chocolate and banana pancakes that came with a small portion of vanilla cream. I decided to get the standard breakfast that came with two fluffy pancakes, egg made how you like. I chose fried. A side of Canadian bacon, fries and a fresh salad with some amazing dressing. I then ordered a side of two pork sausage which surprisingly were a really nice size. Hubby got the lemonade mango soda and a hot cocoa. I got my usual caramel frappe with whip cream on top. The pancakes were made to order. Very fluffy and so soft they literally dissolve into your mouth. The salad was so fresh and crisp. The sausages were our favorite. Very plump, cooked to perfection and very tasty. We enjoyed everything we ordered and know we would be visiting this home felt restaurant again. We live on MCT base so we traveled only 15 mins away which isn’t far at all. I believe we paid $35-$38 usd which wasnt expensive. Not for the experience...
Read moreThe wait time was listed 0-30 minutes, that was far from the truth. It took 1 hour and 20 minutes before I was seated and till the food was presented to the table. I ordered their standard brunch plate with a serving of chickens. The pancakes fluffy. Just like eating straight up pancake mix. The scrambled eggs, nothing out of the ordinary. Fluffy and falls apart before entering your mouth. The chicken, deep fried greasy fat no seasoning. The potato wedges, soggy and plain. The service, very kind and always a smile, very polite. Overall the food was not worth the wait or the price. It is overhyped leading to an increase in price. They are cursed for their own location preventing them from having a bigger kitchen or serving location. Their wait times can be better if they could accommodate the hype that this place has however it just simply isn’t worth the wait. Cute looking food with no actual flavor. If you’re planning to go here, expect a full hour wait for just something you can make at home. I cannot recommend this place because of the price and quality of food...
Read moreWe came here on a Friday morning around 8:15am and we were one of the first people there, so it was still quiet and there was parking. But not 15 minutes later, every table was taken and small vans started pulling up as well as other random visitors. I'm not sure if this intensity of crowds keeps up all day, but keep it in mind lol.
The pancakes themselves are definitely worth it though! They are so light and fluffy, and they come with plenty of toppings no matter which ones you choose. They are small works of art, but also very tasty. Definitely worth the price.
They also have juices and coffee on site. The only thing that bothered me was that the drinks are served in to-go cups even when you dine in. The pancakes are served on stylish plates, yet my hot coffee came in a paper cup with a plastic lid even. Doesn't really match sadly.
Other than that, our visit went well. Unfortunatel, we couldn't really enjoy our time there once we finished eating because people were waiting for a table, so we left as soon as...
