My reservation was on 23 May 2025 for 2 person at 2015hrs but were given the seats at around 2035hrs . The lady staff who attended us apologised and offered 2 complimentary drinks on the house and we ordered 2 set of Premim Yakiniku Course . It was only until when item 7 is served , we realised that item 3 and 6 were missed and not served and hence inform the server accordingly and the items were subsequently served . At around 2200hrs, a different lady staff came in and started clearing our table . When the bill came , we were taken aback the 2 complimentary drinks as promised were charged and we brought this matter tithe lady . However , during this exchange of conversation and settlement , the lady staff amended and re issued an updated bill and we proceed to sign . To our horror , upon checking my bank statement , there is a 2000 Yen charged by the merchant bank and we as customers are liable for this ? . Firstly , I completely do not understand on why and how come the guest have to bear this conversion exchange loss due to staff oversight / negligence in preparing a correct bill ? Secondly , the lady staff server were in fact trying to rush our meal course served when there are so many other tables still seated and enjoying their meal !! Why my table ? Thirdly , upon signing the final bill and left the restaurant did we realise that Shrimp and squid tentacles course were not served !! To conclude , shouldn’t the restaurant be cautious to monitor : (a) courses served or not served should be monitored by the restaurant staff instead of from the guest ( b) ensure bill is correctly prepared and administered ( c) should not and never rush the guest when there is still adequate time . This is never...
Read moreBig disappointment on this yakiniku restaurant. My boyfriend and I’ve been to Japan 5 times, when we come here we have yakiniku every other day so we as foreigners, we know how Japanese wagyu suppose to be tasted like. However, this is our first time in Okinawa, but this is not the first yakiniku restaurant we had in. The first day we landed, we were referred to a yakiniku restaurant called ‘Roins’ in Naha, very close to the airport. The food over there was excellent and prices were very reasonable. We thought that okinawa wagyu meats are not comparable to the ones from Kobe or Sendai, however we didn’t expect like this. We ordered the wagyu tenderloin priced over $7k yen, and it was exactly like American tenderloin which was completely non fat. The beef tongue priced $3500+ was super chewy ( it was recommended by the servers). We also ordered the Zabuton which was chewy and the texture of the meat was just not right. Even sausages could taste so bad as even I could buy better sausages from any Japanese supermarket in California. The spicy beef soup we ordered was so bland, it only had a taste of sesame oil and chili oil in plain hot water, it didn’t taste like a soup. I think this restaurant is more like a tourist restaurant targeted on foreigners and it was all foreign tourists diner at this restaurant and of course including us. Very overpriced and service was bad. Servers only responsible to deliver food and didn’t even tell us how long should’ve we cooked the meat and didn’t help at all, didn’t check back on us. I don’t recommend to anyone, there are better places for Japanese...
Read moreOutstanding in many aspects— food quality, service, and space. Only slightly confusing in the way to order and cook the foods. (Also where to park, the parking location is not right next to the restaurant and there are only six spots extended from a nearby car park)
The food itself was remarkable, fresh and well prepared (Particularly liked the prime seared beef, beef tongue and the yakisuki from the premium beef course), detailed instructions to how it should be enjoyed. I thoroughly enjoyed every dish I tried, and the variety that was served makes up for a fulfilling dining experience.
One issue was that with five people, we were told we could try a four person-course meal, but this resulted in a relatively chaotic sequence of food service and some confusion to how to share everything. If you do come, and should you not be feeling extremely full (which hopefully youre not before a reservation exclusive restaurant🙂↕️), I would strongly suggest ordering a set per each person— it would reduce a lot of the discussing who eats what and direct that attention into enjoying the well-designed and prepared meal.
That said, this experience was a memorable one in Okinawa, and I’d definitely come back the next...
