We had their 2200 yen lunch set here and was floored by both the quality and the variety.

Every dish was presented beautifully and tasted amazingly fresh. I especially enjoyed the pickled dishes that had citrus seasoning. The sashimi was delicious and each piece had unique texture.

Service was friendly and restaurant interior was very clean!

Would go back. ...

I understand that you need a reservation to this place but when I walked in and asked for the next day availability they looked at their reservation book, then at each other and told me they were closed. Not according to google 🤷‍♂️. Come up with a better lie and I’ll throw in an extra star. As it is, it’s my worst experience in the so-called Japanese...

A good variety of fresh sashimi served over warm rice, served with freshly grated wasabi, is heavenly after a morning trek of Onomichi's hillside shrines.
