We had some time before our Shinkansen departed and stumbled upon this very lovely and cozy café: the menu is available in English and offers 3-4 different kind of toasts. It seems the café is run by an elderly man who is also the only staff. We were surprised by the interior, we felt like stepping into someone‘s very loved home. The owner prepared our coffee and egg/butter jam sandwiches behind the counter. It was truly a highlight to have counter seats so we could watch over the whole process. We can only say: highly highly recommend to enjoy a lovely and rich breakfast away from all the city hustle. one of the best place to start your morning, not far from the station, you can walk 5 minutes, enjoy the view of shin osaka, once you enter, you will feel the warmth of the local people, the owner is very kind and the only worker there, you can smoke at the table. you can get coffee, toast, boiled eggs for only 500¥. We casually discovered this place our first day in Osaka and went there every morning until we left. A lovely Japanese café where locals go with one option in the menu. Fresh grounded coffee made with a Japanese technique, hand cut perfectly toasted buttered bread, hot boiled eggs and a coffee jelly that tasted amazing for my surprise. All done by one kind man!
