I first discovered this place because it’s right next to a 24-hour coin laundry, and I stopped by while waiting for my washing to finish. It turned out to be such a pleasant surprise that now I visit almost every day.

The shop is run by a kind elderly lady, with the help of other women who take orders and cook. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the prices are unbelievably affordable. It truly feels like a little spot that deserves to be protected at all costs.

The food is delicious and very homely. They prepare different lunch sets and bento boxes, which are especially popular. You can also stop by in the morning for a breakfast set (480 yen), which includes coffee, salad, toasted bread, and an egg. It’s simple, cozy, and perfect if you want to sit with your laptop, enjoy a coffee, and watch the ladies work so diligently as they prepare bento boxes.

If you’re in the area, I highly recommend stepping in. The kindness of the people and the taste of the food give you a glimpse of real, everyday Japanese cooking.
