Loved shopping here! Spend over 1000 Yen and get a free item! We go to Osaka each year and use Airbnb each time staying in a different area. This location was 3 blocks away from our place so we would stop in only the way home each night to pick up some chi-hi and snacks next to nothing. One negative thing (they had nothing to do with the supermarket to be clear) was that there seemed to be a plain clothes cop standing outside (on many night that we went there) hoping to catch a foreigner who may have stayed past their visa limit. As you can imagine im writing about this as he decided to harass me as well. To be fair it was all over and we were on our way in 2 min. but he was asking me all kinds of questions about a work visa, where my visa card was, etc. in Japanese that I didnt understand since I was only a tourist. I later found out that it is pretty close to a bad neighbourhood (about 7 or 8 blocks in a different direction is what's considered the "largest slum in Japan". My Japanese friend told me lots of foreigners go there for living on the cheap and often stay past their allowed time so I guess thats why it probably happened.
