I now understand why this place has such good reviews. It’s not just the food, but the overall atmosphere.
RESERVATIONS I struggled to make a reservation via their third party reservation system as certain parts had to be filled in in Japanese. I eventually managed to get all details in, but the system kept hanging whenever I attempted to confirm the reservation.
I eventually gave up and got the assistance of a hotel staff to make the reservation on my behalf.
DIRECTIONS We walked to the restaurant from our hotel using Google Maps. It was an easy 1km walk with no obstacles.
We had to pause for about a minute or so when we arrived at the building as we could not find the restaurant even though Google Maps indicated we had arrived. I double checked the address and realised it was located on the 7th floor. So we took the lift to the 7th floor, which opened up to the restaurant entrance.
WELCOME ALL staff were super friendly and welcoming. They’re an exuberant group of individuals who made the restaurant a fun place to be in. It took a bit of getting used to at first. The male staff at the entrance was welcoming every new customer who came in with a loud and cheerful greeting, which led to the rest of the staff also chiming in their welcomes happily and loudly. It was so loud that we initially had a hard time holding a conversation. And my heart gave a jump each time he boomed a welcome 😂
I think they kinda grew on us though because we started to really enjoy ourselves, and I really liked watching them walking around and performing their roles so readily and happily. They look as though they truly love their jobs.
FOOD Everything was so good! The beef, pork, chicken, kimchi and rice were perfect! The meats were flavoured perfectly, and my dining companions told me the sauce is delicious.
We ordered the extra big bowl of rice so we received two big overflowing bowls of rice. The portions were just right for the 3 of us.
The staff also provided a cup of ice to place over the grill to douse the fire if it got too out of control.
PRICE We paid out 15,000 yen for the whole meal (3 pax). Well worth the price.
The staff even gave us chewing gum as we were leaving. A nice refreshing taste...
Read moreExcellent service-very attentive. All servers checked on our party several times. Servers approachable, helpful and energetic. Pointed at pictures to order. Use the QR code to keep an eye on your order or to order more items. This also keeps track of your allotted time. Meet is separate. We upgraded our cut so it was a bit more expensive. Must order rice (S,M, Large) and vegetables separately. Tried the scallops which were wonderful! We did not have a reservation, but they were able to accommodate 90 minute visit for us. We finished with 30 minutes to spare, no rush.
Language was only little issue.
Food is cooked by you (except rice).
Private rooms available-seems to seat 6.
Restrooms available which is not normal. Most times you must leave to use restrooms reserved for the entire floor...
Read moreA friend found this place on google and we decided to check it out and at first we were kinda confused where it was then we realized it was on the 7th floor not the first floor like what google says and a person came up to us and ask if we had a reservation and we didn’t and he said to give him a moment then found use a seat right away.
You order your food and drinks from a QR code and they’ll bring it out to your table and every time they would come by they were super nice and take our dirty plates if they saw any and the food quality was delicious I loved every moment of it and the fresh squeezed pineapple was the highlight of the meal I would definitely come back here again if I’m ever...
