Cafe hyakka — Restaurant in Osaka

Before I write this review I would like to note that I'm living over 18 years in Japan, I was running some restaurants and bars for about 16 tears and I speak the language very good. I came out of the temple with my guests and they wanted to drink coffee so we stopped at that cafe. I was driving a car so I couldn't go in I just went with my guests to explain the menu. There are 2 4 ppl tables and 2 2 ppl tables. The workers saw us coming as 3 ppl and put reserved signs on the 4 ppl table. There was no signs on the 2 person table . We walked inside and instead of irashi mase witch means welcome the first thing the lady in the shop told us is "each person must order one order" mmmm OK. So I've explained to her that that I will be in the car and only the 2 ppl with me will order. She said OK but u must stay outside .ofcourse I understand that. That is was I was telling her. So she saw that we are not local and in ber mind she already disided that onr of ua will not order. I explained the menu to my friends coz they can't read Japanese and went to check the car. I came back to explain about the coffee and the lady went again telling me that I'm me waku. It means I'm deserving them. Let me note that we are the only ppl in the cafe and I'm the ine who got my ppl there and gave them business. I have also made it eazy by explaining to my guest because they can't speak Japanese. Again, my job is in the food industry in Japan I eat in restaurants every day andall day. I know when I'm not wanted. Save your time...

四天王寺のお参り帰りに見つけたお店、お店の前に行列が、あれれ高齢者の女性のお連れさんまで結構な人数が並んでいるではないか。このお店よく見ると以前に珈琲を飲みに入った記憶がある。記憶の限りでは小さいお店でテーブルだって三つか四つぐらいだったはず。外観は同じなのに入口の看板は卵焼き専門メニューがドーンと仁王立ち状態で不思議な光景。一度入って見るかと入口の機械で順番待ちの番号をセルフで操作。26番と印刷された紙を手に並ぶこと３０分。一向に出入りがない、おかしいな～、現在の順番は、、と確認してみたらまだ15番。これはやってられないと退散。それにしても回転率の悪いことおびただしい。一体どうなっているのか？　次回は本気で並んで店内を確認して見ることに。なんでも和食職人が提供しているとのことなので料理は手早いはずなのにと不思議。 今日は先回に続きリベンジでやって来た。店内に案内されるまで待つつもり。発行された整理券のQRコードを読み込んで登録、、コレをしておくとスマホに連絡が届くらしい。その間に四天王寺さんや愛染さんにゆっくりとお参り。、、電話に連絡が来たのでお店に戻り入口で待つこと二十分。二組前に呼び出しが来るのだが二十分も待つとは一体店内ってどうなってるのかと不思議でならない。店内に入り見渡すと2人テーブルが5卓で満席でも10人。それにしても待ち時間があまりにも長い、、先客を観察していて驚いた。コレは回転悪いはず。食事が終わった人たちのお尻が長い長い。まるで喫茶店並みのお尻の長さに唖然とした。お店の前に行列待ちをさせてるお店の戦略とみた。卵焼き定食1500円なのでこの席数でも十分採算合うだろうし何より店前の行列をさせることで道行く人達に興味を売ることができる。僅か10席で最大の売上が宣伝料金無料で一日でも長く引っ張れるのはお見事としか言いようがない。さて肝心なのは味、個人の好みによるが、、ご飯や出汁自体のこだわりはとくには感じられない、。だし巻きは残してしまうぐらいに大きい。大きさが売りなのだろう。そして小鉢の数が多くインパクトがあるので長時間並んだあとだけに何だかその気にさせてしまうのもお見事。小さな坪数で売上の最大化が計られた仕掛けは見物だった。だし巻きはあちらこちらと食べ歩き結構知っているつもり。今回のこのお店の味はごくごく普通で特になににこだわりがある訳でもない。大きな卵焼きが売りだった。長時間並んで...
