Delicious curry in a hurry ! We were greeted by wonderful staff upon our arrival and were quickly seated. They have a handy QR option where you can both read the menu items in English and order them from your seat without a server’s help. It says you can only pay cash on that website but in reality, they accept credit cards when it’s time to pay. We were shocked at how FAST our meals came to our table. Excellent value here. The standard (300g rice) + curry portions are really big. As a woman, the 150-200g option would’ve been plenty for me. The standard level of spice would be above average for most. I love spice but want to give a heads up if you prefer a milder choice. The flavour was wonderful and satisfied our need for a cozy meal on a gloomy day. The salad was simple but fresh and tasty. The coffee is surprisingly DELICIOUS! Even if you just came for that you’d enjoy your time here. They have outlets for phones, laptops, etc at the wall tables. This place is impeccably clean as well.
You get diner vibes in here and it’s really comforting. The music is elevator mixed with coffee shop style which was cute and...
Read moreI decided to stop at a CoCo curry house after visiting Osaka castle. Being a large chain, their quality is mostly consistent between locations, and this place was no different.
I ordered the chicken cutlet curry (spice level +2), with extra vegetables and a half order scrambled egg.
The curry was rich and thick, and the spice level was just right (maybe a little more couldn't have hurt). The chicken cutlet was fried well, and was reasonably juicy inside. The egg was surprisingly fluffy, but was a little on the bland side. The vegetables were... vegetables. Not much to say there.
The menu is printed, but there's also an online ordering option with translations.
This isn't gourmet food by any means, but CoCo curry is consistent and a great quick meal when you...
Read moreSuitable for vegetarians. A 15 minute walk from Osaka Castle and has a single option for vegans and people with food allergies. Ask for the allergen free curry on the English menu and it comes in a sealed packet. You can choose the 100g or 200g rice option. It is basic and you can add powdered chilli from the table for an extra kick. There are French fries (yay!) a couple of vegetarian salads as well (didn’t try these though). The curries are otherwise all meat based. We didn’t add any extra toppings as we had some trouble communicating (the waiters tried their best but we didn’t want to bother them too much, they were already pretty helpful). The...
