Garuru Kori — Restaurant in Osaka

We came to this place to try it out because it looks good from the outside even though reviews were mixed... Well, it's kinda a letdown after the awesome Kakigori I had at Cafe Naniwata just 10mins ago... So I can't give this place any higher than 3 stars because for a similar price, you can have so much better Kakigori down the street.

The shaved ice is quite good, though it melts fast even inside the air conditioned store... And they are very stingy with the ingredients here. ¥850 for a bowl of ice with some sprinkles of peanuts and caramel sauce..... Really disappointing.

Save your money and walk down the street to Cafe Naniwaya...

It’s excellent. I highly recommend it. It is shaved ice shop in near Nakazakicho station next to the Higashiumeda station. The shop’s best selection is Tiramis flavor shaved ice. It’s amazing. I’ve never seen such a combination and eaten such a delicious ice. Originally, the shop is very delicious coffee shop and use it for tasting. Bitter flavor from coffee and cocoa powder, and sweet flavor from cream surprisingly match shaved ice. The taste is yummy. In addition, the quantity is very large. You should be careful of...

They have English menu, ordered salted caramel and it was good! Limited selection on English menu, they do have a small brochure with picture so you can order accordingly. Overall a good stop over for refreshing shaved ice and recommend!

If you want to go something better, 5 star worthy then head down further along the street and look out for Osaka Naniwaya for a more affordable and better portion of shaved...
