The environment was great and the room was spaciousand nicely decorated. Some of the food was really good, such as the nabe (鍋), but some other courses were not as high quality as expected, such as the sashimi and the grilled crab meat. The grilled crab was too dry.
Service quality depends on the person serving the table, but service is in general bad. I was very surprised that some of the servers didn't use Keigo (敬語は使わなかった). As a foreigner who knows some Japanese, I immediate picked up the lack of respect to us. We weren't even thanked when we paid.

Crab is usually hard to eat because of the shell but at this restaurant shells are horizontally cut, allowing you to easily scoop the fresh meat out. They have an English menu and we dined in a private room in a traditional setting on the mats and all.
