First and foremost, the atmosphere of Kinopio Cafe is simply magical. The decor is a delightful blend of cozy and quirky, with mushroom-shaped seating and vibrant colors that create a sense of childlike joy. It's like stepping into a fairytale, and every corner is brimming with charm. The attention to detail is remarkable, and it's evident that the team behind Kinopio Cafe has put a lot of thought and effort into creating a truly immersive experience.
Now, let's talk about the food. The menu at Kinopio Cafe is a delightful fusion of flavors, offering a range of options to suit various palates. Whether you're a vegetarian, vegan, or a meat lover, you'll find something delicious to satisfy your taste buds. The dishes are not only visually appealing but also bursting with flavor. I particularly enjoyed the whimsical presentation of the dishes, which added an extra touch of magic to my dining experience.
The staff at Kinopio Cafe deserves a special mention. They are friendly, attentive, and passionate about what they do. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and well taken care of. They were more than happy to provide recommendations and explain the various dishes on the menu, ensuring that I had a fantastic dining experience. Read moreDuring our visit to Universal Studios Japan in Osaka, we decided to take a break from the rides and shows and have lunch at Bioristorante (Bio Restaurant). After a full morning of exploring the park, this was the perfect spot to relax and recharge. The restaurant’s interior carries the same lively, movie-inspired atmosphere that Universal is known for, yet the seating feels comfortable and unhurried—ideal for a mid-day meal.
The menu focuses on Italian-inspired and Western-style dishes, and everything we tried exceeded expectations. We ordered a steak set meal and a pasta plate. The steak was thick, tender, and juicy, served with freshly grilled vegetables and a flavorful house sauce that brought everything together. The pasta was equally impressive, with al dente noodles coated in a rich, well-seasoned sauce that could rival what you’d find at a good city trattoria. Side dishes included a crisp, fresh salad, warm soup, and aromatic bread. For dessert, we enjoyed a beautifully presented tiramisu and a fruit tart—both light yet satisfying.
The beverage selection was another highlight. In addition to soft drinks, coffee, and tea, the restaurant offers sparkling wines and colorful fruit mocktails that look as good as they taste—refreshing and perfect for cooling down after a long walk around the park. Service was friendly and efficient; the staff took orders promptly and served each course quickly, which is exactly what you want when dining inside a busy theme park.
Overall, Bioristorante at Universal Studios Japan delivers more than just a quick bite. It combines a fun, cinematic atmosphere with genuinely delicious food and attentive service, providing guests a chance to slow down and savor a full meal without leaving the park. Whether you’re visiting with family or friends, it’s an excellent place to relax, enjoy a high-quality lunch or dinner, and fuel up for more Universal...
Read moreKinopio cafe is inside the Nintendo world, we waited 40min before entering and placing our order, all in all it took about 60mins from waiting in line to food on table. We knew this coming in as I wanted to celebrate all my kids successes with this special meal so we went all out. Ordered almost everything on the menu and I wouldn’t have it any other way, the food here really is on point and the styling theme really fits the Nintendo feel, even me an adult felt like a kid again. Yes the food is a tad expensive but seeing the joy on your kids is well worth the toil and brain numbing waits in line. The spaghetti carbonara is creamy and spaghetti is al dente, salad is colourful and dressing tastes like it the Mediterranean dressing. Chicken teriyaki on rice is also sweet and juicy. Mario burger is also top notch, they really know to do burgers in Japan, the patty wasn’t dry and bacon was smoky. Ok me not a dessert person but the princess cake really put the cherry on the lunch experience. It came in a silver platter, and the name plate is made of biscuit so everything is edible! The creamy of the cake was light and moorish, one person can eat it all by themselves. Kinopio’s cafe really changed my mind of theme restaurants and I m very impressed by the quality and styling of the food and decor to add ambience as another layer to the food they served! A must try if you’re visiting...
