Manyo maedatei Sakaisujihommachi — Restaurant in Osaka

I stumbled on this restaurant by accident. It’s difficult to do reservations for many restaurants online as there is no English translation. A staff member at my hotel booked a highly recommend sushi place for me online using my phone . Infratec when I arrived for my 8pm booking they declined and were full. There were several other small restaurants nearby including Manyo which looked interesting. Despite being full the staff accommodated me ( solo) in a friendly fashion. They speak minimal or no English but I got by with google translate. The table setting is traditional Japanese style. English menu available using QR code. I took the waiters recommendation & had steamed vegetables with thinly sliced omi beef. It was amazing, very delicious. For dessert I had the coconut icecream also very delicious.. The standard here is very high. Given I was a western, unable to speak Japanese & unfamiliar with the food they provided a fantastic service. I would highly recommend this restaurant as it is not touristy, genuine Japanese with mostly local clientele. A true gem to find, glad the other place was too...

【大阪食道楽（焼肉編）】 最高級の近江牛をリーズナブルな値段で食べることができるお店。「量より質」の大人の焼肉屋さんです。個室でゆったり美味しいお肉と野菜を楽しめます。滋賀県大卸問屋のグループのお店で良質な近江牛を手に入れることができるそう（ここはFC店らしい）。安くはないが絶対オトクなお店だと思います。

お通し⇒キムチ＆サラダ⇒上タン⇒焼しゃぶ⇒焼野菜と極上近江牛五種盛り⇒近江牛ホルモン⇒肉茶漬けかクッパ⇒ミニデザートの順番です。（ホルモンを食べられるのはこのコースだけのようです）

こちらのお肉は塩でさらっと食べるだけでも肉のうまみがたっぷり。肉そのものの旨味で楽しむ焼肉です。うまく表現できないのですがここの牛さんたちはきっと美しい牧場で大切に育てられたんだな～というピュアでキレイな味がします。だから脂も赤身も味わい深い。お肉を引き立てるお野菜も新鮮で美味しい。

お肉の量なんですがぱっと見たところは少ないように見えるんです。しかし食べ終わるころにはきっちり満腹。ホルモンまでくると「あれれ、食べきれるかな～」というくらいお腹いっぱいになります。お肉ごとに説明が書いてあるのでじっくり味わいながら食べるからかもしれません。とてもいいお店だと思います。
