Izakaya Mamman Sakaisujihommachi — Restaurant in Osaka

Dear Owner,

DISHONEST BUSINESS ETHICS!! Foreign tourists, pls DO NoT step in this restaurant!!

We would like to express our disappointment of your captain who on duty on 26 April ( Sat) 8pm. A man with black attire.

Due to we have language barrier, when we order food, this guy was misleading us over order the foods. We have 10 pax of us. Based on the attached pictures, do you think is reasonable? He trying to describe the portion of food small, medium, big. When we order small portion of 2 plates, he will express its small and not enough. We left no choice then upgrade to medium.

In short, we over order the food, when want to speak with him. We can see that he is trying to hide something, dare not to talk with us. As a captain, we believe you will know if the portions sufficient for 10 pax. He is keep upselling even point one round of food menu to ensure we have ordered. At the end, we have wasted 3 plates of fish and force to finish the foods!

When we make payment, we spoken with a cashier and a waitresses who can understand a little bit English. She just keep apologies and seems like this is normal scenario for them.

Good luck for your business if you guys continue use this method to earn...

I've been in japan for 3 weeks and was never disappointed in their food, but this was horrendous in terms of food and service. Me and my friends and I chose it for the good reveiws only to learn it was spam reviews and a tourist trap. The food was, in all honesty, less than adequate. we ordered a few items that we wanted to try out as it's not food my friends typically eat, but me, who has grown up eating hot pot, was extremely disappointed the pot had no flavour no chicken broth or anything just boiling water which made everything taste extremely bland and the drinks we got were so watered down you could taste it. Im not one to write a review but looking at the bill after paying, and we barely got anything, and it somehow added up to 14500 and did not match what the menu said, and my friend watched him put the food in and only said 8000 yen at the bottom of his ipad so i cant help but assume the server (the owner) was taking advantage of us. Keep in mind that after all that, we were still left staving and went to moss burgers, which was amazing much more worth...

Spam!! Do not go at all!! ❌❌ Check all the 1 star reviews if you insist. I can tell you that they all happened to me.

They charge me over ¥7000 for what I had (see photos)

The price on the menu isnt really the price you pay.

The sashimi set costs ¥1200 yen but look what I had!

The staff is extremely good at cheating the customers. They won’t let you keep the receipt either.

I thought Japanese are all honest and good. But real shame on your restaurant. I come to visit Osaka very frequently so I will tell everyone I know not to visit this restaurant.

Never ever visit this restaurant unless you want to have an exceptionally bad memory in Japan.

This is probably the worst restaurant in Japan. I wish I could...
