Ottanta Sette — Restaurant in Osaka

My family and I were visiting Osaka while on holiday. We had been to the recommended spots for famous dishes and wanted to go with something Western. I found 87 Osteria located close to where we were staying and was already well reviewed. We went on a Monday night with two younger kids and found the restaurant welcoming and accessible. The owners were very gracious and willing to explain every part of the experience. Wine and sparking wine is incredible and also accessible. Food menu is seasonal and we tried several fish and pasta dishes and nothing failed to impress. Also a mozzarella /tomato dish and separately two bruschetta plates which were ridiculously good. Summary: Pasta, appetizers, seafood, meat and insane wine are all sure shots. Chef and his wife have mastered the craft and are preparing thoughtful and delicious dishes. in spite of the amazing local dishes that are in every guide book, there is more in Osaka than meets the eye. 87 is well worth the visit. Completely over priced. Tax will be added on top of your bill! 800 yen for bread and extra service charge of 300 yen per person (2mini slices of bread). Would not recommend! Complete rip off (5,000 yen for 3 glasses of wine… in the menu it said around 1,000...

都会の隠れ家的立地にあるイタリアンレストランです。人に教えたくないが連れて行きたい誘惑にかられる秘蔵のお店。

これは一口でお食べください、と言われたスプーン一杯分の黒い何か。冷たそうに見えてあたたかく、温度差と味付けの組み合わせが、複雑にからみあい、ここでもうハートを鷲掴みにされます。

全てのメニューがこだわりの一品なのと、メニューに写真はないので、まずはアラカルト（おまかせ）で出してもらって、十分満足できると思います。

一つ一つの料理について、ストーリーやこだわりが豊富にあって、説明を聞いてるだけで食べ切れない量でもオーダーしたくなる衝動に駆られます。

また、メニュー表で@がある料理はご当地でもよく食べられるものらしいです。

〆にサフランのリゾットを注文してみたところ、目が喜ぶ鮮やかなイエローと、炊いたのでなく煮込んだ米特有の食感が異国情緒を高めてくれました。

なお、駅からの距離は、南森町・なにわ橋・北浜駅あたりから、おおむね徒歩10分圏にあります。
