SHIBIRE-NOODLES 蝋燭屋 — Restaurant in Osaka

A noodle shop at Chayamachi. The ticket machine does not accept cash so that’s a problem. But other than that, the food and service is great. Every seat has a personal portable fan for your perusal. You can ask for paper apron if you are concerned with stains. Also, the mapo tofu noodle was spicy as advertised (I got the spice level 4). If you want to lessen the spice, ironically you may want to add chili oil to make it more mellow. Maybe the rating for this place is low because some people can’t handle the spice or the price, but personally I find it in reasonable range. Very spicy already even at L2 medium spicy and normal numbing powder. I went there already full from a recent meal and thought I'd just have a taste of what the long queue was about. And even though I was full, I couldn't stop eating this noodles and ended up finishing the entire large bowl and even the sauce. お昼の13時40分くらいに到着。

出来たてやし、めっちゃ並んでるやろなーと思って、お店に着くと、20人位並んでる。

こりゃすげー。 まぁ、時間あるから並ぶよー。

メニューを見て、先に注文を決めるタイプ。

もう注文は決まってる。 麻婆麺 倍辛で辛・痺・辣 激増しセットしかないよな。

待つこと約35分で入店。 では、注文。 入ってすぐのレジのところで、先払い。 麻婆麺 倍辛(1000円) 辛・痺・辣 激増しセット(280円) もちろん、いっちゃん辛いのんでいくよね。 15時までは半ライスサービスとのことなので、それもお願いします。 麻婆麺の注文が入ると、キッチンの方で麻婆豆腐を作るええ音と香りが店内に広がります。 この音と香りって、テンション上がるなぁ。

軽快なジャジーな音楽が流れる中、待つこと約10分... 来ました！麻婆麺 倍辛　辛・痺・辣 激増しセット！ 見た目はラーメンには見えないやつやな！

では、紙エプロンをセットして、いざ... 麻婆部分から... うむ。 思ったより辛くない。 どちらかというと甘みを感じる。 CoCo壱1～2辛程度。 麻婆豆腐はやや粘度高め。 豆腐は絹ごし。 挽肉がやや大きめで食べ応えがあるね。 甘みと肉のうまみと魚介系のうまみが複雑に混ざりあって、かなりうまい。 そして、痺がやや強め。 これは、辛さよりも結構、シビレがと強い。

麺を... 中位の太さの軽いウェーブの四角。 もっちり食感です。 個人的にはもうちょい細い方が合ってるような気がします。

スープを... 麻婆部分の下にはスープがあります。 鶏系のあっさり醤油スープ。 既に口内が痺れはじめていて、正確な味がわからないですが、シビレたまま汁物を飲むと、うまさが増幅されたあの感覚になります。

とりあえず、辛さとが足らんので、辛・痺・辣...
