A proper hidden gem, this place is a really charming little teppanyaki spot in a quiet residential area. This stillness continues into the restaurant, where classical music plays softly, keeping the spotlight on the food and the chef preparing it.
The atmosphere is fantastic, and so is the food. We got the specialty steak, assortment of steak nigiri, grilled vegetables, and garlic rice, all of which were absolutely delicious. The steak was beautifully marbled and just fills your mouth with its delightful beefy flavour. The slices of beef in the steak nigiri are complemented wonderfully by the sushi rice and wasabi. The vegetables had great variety (asparagus, pumpkin, daikon, scallion, green bean, eggplant) and carried a charred flavour that contrasted nicely with the rich beef. The garlic rice was great too, and a good, filling choice if your wallet needs the help.
The chef is focused but still incredibly friendly, even with the language barrier between us. We came on a Tuesday night and were lucky enough to be the only ones there, which I think made the experience much more special.
It’s a great place and truly deserves more attention. If you’re looking for premium steak to indulge in or a nice place to bring a date, this...
Read moreThis is by far the best steakhouse you'll come across in Japan. Reasonably priced for what's on offer too! Obviously the meat is amazing. We shared 100 grams each and could have had a kilogram more.
If you're hungry definitely share the 200 grams with a tjom of both the rare and lean Wagyu. If you're a mushroom fan, it's cheap as. 500 yen for a whole bowl of shimeji, king oyster and shitake? Get out of town.
We also had the Wagyu nigiri. Underdog favourite of the evening. Salad was a salad but the peanut dressing stepped it up to the big leagues. The tataki is also a bang for buck winner if you're not afraid of rare meat.
Chef is a legend. Incredibly friendly and welcoming. Enough English to get you through your...
Read moreThis place is close to where I was staying in Osaka and I really wanted to try some steak while I was in the area. I ordered a dinner course menu which came with cold roast beef, beef sushi (that was AMAZING), grilled mushrooms and scallops, and then a perfectly cooked steak served in small portions at a time so it was fresh. There were also grilled vegetables, fried garlic, rice, soup and mango sorbet for dessert.
The owner was kind and attentive and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience....
