syabu SAI Universal Citywalk — Restaurant in Osaka

It’s been a long tiring day at USJ, we were craving for shabu shabu and were planning to go back near hotel with more options. But kid got too hungry and we saw this one nearby with no wait, there we go. It was all my fault that I didn’t check review before going in. This is our third week in Japan, we have had black beef shabu shabu before, this one is nowhere close in quality but charging same price, most normal beef we have had was already much better. Service was somewhat disappointing as well, the meats came slowly while they are timing us. They missed our meat orders and turned around giving us attitude. Other than that the younger servers are still kinda polite. I recalled my last shabu shabu experience was amazing that we didn’t want to stop, but now I would rather type this than be eating. As many others have already pointed out, we were also totally disgusted by the attitude of some staff here, especially one of the middle age female who were seating guests down. People like her are a disgrace to the Japanese catering industry, such a let down in comparison to the real Japanese standard service we have had elsewhere. We were in the queue to be seated, she ordered us to the back of the queue with no explanation, just shouted at us and went back inside. After a very long day walking around Universal Studios the family and I chose this beautiful restaurant for dinner! Purchasing the all you can eat and drinks package for the table was the perfect choice. The spicy soup base was my favorite with the Enoki mushrooms and pork. A very cute robot brings the meat to your table which was just adorable! Service was quite fast and all the staff were very sweet and accommodated to our language (English speaking).
