The menu is a incredible journey of thamel bazar both Nepali and Indian classics. We started with the mutton Choila - a smoked chicken & mutton appetizer marinated in mustard oil and spices. It was bursting with smoky, tangy, and spicy flavors, an authentic Newari dish that is incredibly hard to find in Japan Osaka nishinary ward. An absolute must-try! For momo, we had the Steamed momo & Jhol Momo. Instead of the usual dipping sauce, these dumplings are swimming in a thin, spicy, and herbaceous broth. It was a revelation! Each dumpling was perfectly juicy, and sipping the flavorful jhol afterwards was the best part. Our main was the Thamel Special Thali(Nepali rice curry set )This is the way to go for first-timers! It came with a generous serving of butter chicken (rich and creamy), a hearty lentil dal, sautéed greens (saag), a potato curry, crispy papadum, dry vegetables pickle and your choice of fluffy naan or perfect basmati rice. The variety and quality for the price was astounding. The service was exceptional. The staff were so warm, friendly, and genuinely happy to share their culture. They patiently explained dishes and recommended perfect pairings. You can feel their passion in every dish that comes out of the kitchen. Final Verdict: Thamel Bazaar is more than just a restaurant; it's an experience. It offers a perfect escape into the warmth and vibrancy of Nepali culture. The food is prepared with heart, the flavors are authentic and bold, and the value is unbelievable. It's a top-tier culinary gem in Osaka. Highly recommended for: • A comforting, flavorful meal after a day of sightseeing. • Anyone missing the authentic tastes of Nepal and India. • Adventurous eaters looking to try something truly special. • Groups who want to share a variety of incredible dishes. Must-Order: mutton Choila, Jhol Momo, cheese nan and the Thamel Special Thali (Nepali thakali rice curry set)Tanduri chicken, mutton sukuty beaten rice with Nepal ice beer or been beer & chicken biryani,And don't forget a chilled bottle of Nepali local alcohol (osake) to complete the journey! 私たちは絶対にまた来ます!(We will definitely be back again...
Read moreThis was a very bad experience for me. I have traveled to Osaka many times before and have eaten at many Nepalese and Indian restaurants in this ward which had good food at very good prices. But I was disappointed here. They only change the meat in the same curry. I ordered mutton curry which was butter chicken curry with mutton added instead of chicken. I will never eat such a bad curry again. Also their food prices were very high. Where there are many better food available in this ward for the same price. The only problem here is that once you enter it, you cannot leave for the sake of your dignity. They need to keep the price in line with their food. And need to look for other...
