Ebisu Sakura 恵比寿桜 — Restaurant in Otaru

Quite a nice place for crabs lovers.

We did walk around all restaurants in the market, and targeted to have Hanasaki Crab first. We could only spot a few in Ebisu Sakura. That's why we picked it as our first choice.

We waited for around 25 mins, the taste and texture were unbeatable. You can just taste freshness.

And having crabs in Japan was a leisure, the staff there just dressed a crab very quickly and professionally. They are funny and very welcoming, and offer us to take a group photo.

Stumbled across this lovely place whilst trying to look for a less crowded restaurant. Indeed it was less crowded but the food, service and atmosphere was definitely top notch. Staff spoke good English and mandarin and the place was comfortable without being too cramped. Prices are reasonable and not over the top. We ordered the king crab, unagi and grilled mackerel, all were delicious and nothing was left apart from shells and bones.
