Strongly advise you to make advanced reservations on their website. They will take a deposit for the meal you want. We witnessed several groups get turned away for not just dinner that night but for other nights that week so some advanced planning is needed.
We got the Kani-nabe (prepaid Y6,000 per person) or crab hot pot and a sashimi platter. The babe was homey, warm, full of veggies (Napa cabbage, enoki mushrooms), rice noodles, fried and firm tofu, and of course, seafood (crab legs, scallop, shrimp). The crab wasn't the plumpest/juiciest I've had, but it was fine. The sashimi platter was preordered as well and I had told them what I liked and disliked and they basically made a plate of all of the things I said I liked (scallop, chutoro, uni, sweet shrimp). With the sashimi platter, a pork fried rice, and 2 ginger yuzu drinks, it was an additional Y9,500 on top of the deposit.
I was full and satisfied after the meal and would recommend to others.

Limited English but we got...
Read moreThis is one of the best restaurants in Rusutsu. Located next to the Rusutsu resort, it is a hot pot and barbecue restaurant in traditional Japanese seating (kneeling) style. The hot pot is one of the best value in town, costing around ¥1800 per person with a tasty stock base and the whole pot filled with fresh ingredients. We had the miso seafood pot which contained shrimp, salmon, cabbage, tofu, enoki mushrooms, scallop, crab legs, fish balls and vermicelli. You have to order the rice/udon separately. We finished our meal and asked to book a table for dinner again the next night. Booking is definitely recommended, you also need to order a day ahead for the all you can...

Warning : please bring a bag to contain your winter jackets or have a nice spray to spray down ur clothes. Food is nice, they requested fornur order when reserving so when u reached, they will just serve ur food. We pressed the service bell for more than 3 times to order n no one attended to us n we had no beer n drink. Overall...
