“MacDonald is better than here “

I was thirsty and wanted to have something nice and sweet so came into this lovely look cake cafe( there are several gorgeous tarts in the window which make you want to have it once ).

Honestly their cake set ( one piece of cake and tea what you like ) is amazingly expensive. If you go to the Grand hotel cafe to have afternoon tea set, it is 100 times better and the price is less than here.

Staffs hospitality service is not ideal, they don’t come to you unless you call them kept making you feel like you are ignored. Never come by your seat to ask how is everything and just chit chatting with another staffs around the entrance.

Tart piece size is too small for the price, taste ok but not more than ok and their plates and tea cups are nothing special or pretty.

Tea flavour is almost gone, what kind of tea leaves they use ???? ( English tea lover will get mad with their tea for sure ) And there is no tea leaves in the pot! ( which means “ drink and get out” , Kyoto style ? )

And my teapot, when it arrived on my table, somebody must have touched its handle with sugary hands, it was sticky,gross.

It was around the dinner time so nobody but me and one another at this cafe and it makes sense.

I spent bit of money for just sitting and ok taste cake, that’s all.

They better to reset the price once again and educate staffs.

It is rare to have bad experience in Japan but...

Visited on a Thursday afternoon for lunch and it was kinda crowded. Wrote my name and the number of pax on the paper at the entrance. The staff called out the names but missed out my name, approached the staff and she reassured me that the next available table would be given to me. Managed to get a table in about 30mins. Food was kinda average and the quiche was a little cold. Otherwise the tarts were great. It was a cozy restaurant and baskets are available below the table to place your bags. Environment isn't comfortable. Dining Table and seats are very very narrow, not enough space for two dishes to be placed. food taste not good too. However, waitresses are nice and helpful. We visited at the afternoon of Saturday, while other restaurants were all in long queues, this one was still available. I think this is the reason, customers know...
