Saizeriya Sapporo Station North Gate — Restaurant in Sapporo

Great food as always (try the Doria, it's great!)

It's a little difficult to find this Saizeriya from Sapporo Station with the construction work around the station. Try the following directions: From inside JR Sapporo Station: Exit the "East Gates" ticket gates Walk straight ahead past the escalators & stairs on your left that go down to "paseo". After the stairs, turn left, follow yellow overhead signs "North Exit" Go through double glass doors 30m ahead there is an automatic glass door "Sapporo Station North Square Underground Passage" Enter that door, just after the escalators & stairs there is an elevator (lift). Take the elevator down to B2F. (Alternatively: you can go down the escalator or stairs, walk behind the escalator and take the next escalator or stairs down to the bottom. Exit the lift and walk into the passage. 30m ahead on the right there is a glass automatic door with overhead and wall sign "Exit 3" Go through this door, straight ahead through the next door and Saizeriya is the 1st shop on your right. Saizeriya is the best budget restaurant in Japan. I've been coming to this chain for years. A (surprisingly pleasant) glass of red wine for under US$2, main courses that cost less than a single cup of coffee in Sydney, unlimited soft drinks for under a dollar, free soup. The value is incredible. The ordering system is so simple even as a non-Japanese speaker. Just scan the QR code at your table and happily order away on your phone in English. I've included a photo of the English QR instructions. Two of us had a gigantic meal & delicious bread with wine, unlimited soup, unlimited soft drinks & teas & coffee, for around US$10 all up. Ignore the cruel reviewers whinging about the staff. These reviewers are the type of people who if you gave them a million dollars cash would complain that the notes weren't folded nicely.
