We came here as foreign tourists. The food was good, but it was very disappointing that we later found that the restaurant at the end charged us TWICE for the same bill.
That night after we paid and signed the bill, the staff took away the machine without saying anything and any receipt, walked towards another staff. Then the other staff came with the machine, we thought the debit card hadn’t gone through, so we tried to clarify with him in English that we had paid already, but it seemed he didn’t understand and kept telling us to pay. We swiped the card again anyway, trusting this restaurant would not lie to their customers and that the first payment was not successful. But in the end, the payment did go through TWICE. We cannot claim a refund with the bank as we used a debit card.
While there might be miscommunication, we hope the restaurant would refund us the duplicated amount. But before that happens, we have no choice but to give a 1-star review . We hope fellow viewers could be aware of this...
Read moreMe and my wife wife had dinner at this restaurant. Being foreigners, we do not speak nor understand the Japanese language. There is a problem with the QR code ordering service at first as no menu was displayed at all after scanning the QR code, but we approached a staff member and it was quickly rectified.
We ordered gyoza, a spicy nabe and 2 salted fried chicken wings. I consider the gyoza at Gyoza no Osho (GO) as a standard, and the gyoza at this restaurant in comparison disappoints. The meat filling in the gyoza are much less compared to GO ones, and this is why my review rating for it is so low.
The spicy nabe is ok, but my wife loves it as she loves spicy food. The fried chicken wings are crispy and the lemon juice via slice provided elevates it further.
The bill came to 3k++ JPY which is expensive compared to the food and...
Read moreWent for early dinner. The gyoza was great, but I wish it’s more stuffed with filling. However, the price was very good. The difference between large and small gyoza was negligible though. We even ended up trying the shiso cheese gyoza and having the cinnamon apple gyoza for dessert at the end. Everything is good. The chicken thigh grilled was not great. The menu described the dish with yuzu and pepper flavor, but it tasted like charcoal and was very tough to chew. I would avoid this dish. The motsunabe was quite good, and the extra order of the noodle was very large and quite filling. The spicy miso flavor was on the spicier side and very flavorful. Overall, it was a...
