The JOHNSON BURGER — Restaurant in Sapporo

I came in on a whim between travels and now come by every time I’m in Sapporo for work! Located at Sapporo Station, it’s so convenient. The staff are extremely welcoming, accommodating to orders and the food is gourmet. It’s not a fast food chain and they use only top quality ingredients do, expect a bit of a wait that isn’t much, but worth it. Easy to find on the 3rd floor of Stellar Place (exit off the escalators and it’s on the left hand side, walking a few steps forward to the left. It overlooks the South Exit of Sapporo Station.

They offer a wide variety of beer and just introduced new crafts; locally brewed. The view is lovely but the staff phenomenal. The remember my name, order, preferences, ask about time, and are the most genuine people I’ve met. They stay for a chat and are open and welcome to all. I give this a minimum of 8 stars. As it’s not fast food; and is cooked with fresh ingredients to order, expect a brief wait that is worth it. I love the staff. They are so beyond any experience I’ve had here.

Again, any restaurant can serve up a great plate of food but not every restaurant can get kind, accommodating and accepting as well as for above high quality standards. Thank you! To go (takeout/takeaways) orders are available, as well. They write a lovely message on my utensils set this week.

The overall vibe of the place is very nice. It’s very low contact with the waiters (they serve you and bring you menus but you order by smartphone), and you can choose to eat in groups or alone even.

The burger menu isn’t too big or too small. I definitely want to come back to try the others. There are also chicken and fish burger options too.

The burgers are a little tall and hard to eat, but burgers aren’t really meant to be eaten and enjoyed beautifully. The taste matters the most😂 The burger meat isn’t dry or tough. It’s really flavorful and compared to other burger places I’ve been too. The fries taste like an exact replica of McDonald’s fries but with a crunchier texture, so that’s an obvious win 😂

The fish of the fish and chips set was a little off in my opinion. The price was reasonable but the balance between breading and fish and the overall taste was different than I expected or was used to. The breading reminded me of homemade donuts, which is ok. But it was a little too well-done and the fish was sort of lost in it. I don’t think most people come here to eat this as a main dish so it’s not a big deal. I have no complaints about...
