My family and I enjoyed our time at Scafe to the fullest. The cafe is located within a quick walking distance to the Karato Fish Market. It’s the perfect spot to stop by and to take a relaxing and satisfying tea break after visiting the market. On the menu, we found a wide range of high-quality traditional teas from various regions of Japan. I forget the name of the tea I ordered, however it had warm and robust flavors with a clean after taste. I love that my tea was personally brewed with care. The highlight of our experience was the afternoon tea. It was gorgeous! The set came with modern and traditional Japanese desserts and small bites, such as matcha cakes and truffles, organic macarons, mini mochi balls, savory bite-size inari sushi, etc. All delicious. For the drink, I went with the sparkling matcha, and my mom picked a hot tea from the menu. My sister-in-law wanted something savory and ordered the temari sushi set. These are basically small, bite-size sushi balls. So cute! She loved the food so much that she ended up ordering something sweet also. She went with the matcha parfait. She appreciated the rich flavors of the ice cream, which is made with the Uji matcha from Kyoto. The vibe of the cafe is modern, yet cozy and comfortable thanks to the design of the space. It’s like a little art gallery. We saw beautiful Arita pottery pieces and works of the renowned calligraphy artist Mami. It was an afternoon of modern and traditional Japanese experience. We definitely indulged ourselves 🥰
