Kuishinbou — Restaurant in Shingu

We had dinner at this restaurant after stopping by in Shingu.

Even though we had language barrier issues, the owner was kind and patient enough to use his translation tool to explain the menu and dinner served to us. He also recommended amazing sake that we enjoyed and he explained the origin of the sake.

We appreciate how the owner and his wife made us feel at home with his excellent service and friendliness even if we couldn't speak much Japanese.

This is the best ever restaurant we’ve ever been to in Wakayama!!! Love the pork hot pot and everything we ordered randomly (fried squid, kumono beef, etc.). They are seasoned perfectly and the meats are fresh. The hosts were very friendly and explained to us the history of origin for this place. I learned more than what I knew about 徐福 😃.
